Right… so I’m meant to be promoting new music

Actually there are so many hot new tunes I don’t have the ears to listen to all of them

First off… Bring on The Kills with that dirty, authentic and sexy sound. I’m starting to think that their hit “Cheap and Cheerful” could well become the new D.A.N.C.E in remixing power… having already being remixed by the likes of The Bloody Beetroots, SebastiAn, Mathematikal and now FAKE BLOOD.

Before I launch into the remixes themselves… I have to point out that Fake Blood is the most mysterious and hyped producer at the moment. Who is Fake Blood? Seriously? So everyone thought he was Boy 8 Bit for a while… either way all the conspiracy theories point to Fake Blood being an alias of an already existing producer. According to Pelsky even his name is an enigma… Fake Blood proclaims himself as “Sang Foley” a name which allegedly easily translates to 'Fake Blood'. I’m sure the real deal isn’t as exciting as this brilliant marketing scam but the rumours sure are wicked fun.

Either way, Fake Blood is jetting over to Australia soon so I’m going to make sure I play detective and uncover some clues for you all.

Now to the music yo!… I’m incredibly happy SebastiAn came out of hiding… I haven’t seen anything new from him for months (which is like decades in blog years). SebastiAn rips into the song with his signature sound. This remix is well executed and I got that intense breakdown I was longing for but it’s not really a stand-out SebastiAn remix for me. Maybe I’m being a little harsh on my beloved French producer but I have high expectations for this guy and this remix just doesn’t drive me to the brink of insanity like some of his previous work.

The Bloody Beetroots have also conjured up an awesome remix and Mathematikal have worked their idiosyncratic charm into the song.

Fake Blood wins though. Hands down. This remix strikes me emotionally somehow. Full of gutter grandiosity and the unique breakdown absolutely kills it. Spits on it and destroys it.

Was anyone ever able to find a copy of the Beetroots remix that doesn't sound like a Myspace rip? The 128 kbps one is alright but still sounds kinda lousy.

Nice one. New Fake Blood tune!! saw Black Ghosts DJ set in London couple of days ago and there can be no doubting Fake Blood is Theo Keating from Black Ghosts. he rinsed that trademark reverberating bassline of Fake Blood's.
