Happy Friday 13th everyone!

I'm a big fan of pretending to be superstitious and would love to be in a dark smoky club (avec some evil décor) but sadly i'm just chilling home tonight

Here are a random assortment of songs which I felt like uploading for the occasion.

I've just been waiting for a convenient excuse to share some of the darker tunes that I love (including some of my fav artists like Massive Attack & My Bloody Valentine)

I guess some of them aren't an obvious choice to capture the essence of the day but hopefully they will send shivers down your spine or something

Doves- Darker (Zshare)

Bloc Party – Skeleton (Zshare)
(from silent alarm remixed)

Crystal Castles - Alice Practice (Zshare)

Crystal Castles - Crimewave (Health Cover) (Zshare)

Cut Copy- So Haunted
(Zshare)

Ladytron- Destroy Everything You Touch (Zshare)

Massive Attack- Angel
(Zshare)

Massive Attack- Dissolved Girl (Zshare)

Massive Attack- Black Milk (Zshare)

Danger - 7h46
(Zshare)

Tricky- Hell Is Around The Corner (Zshare)

Radiohead- Talk Show Host (Zshare)

Tricky- Overcome (Zshare)

Spoon- The Ghost Of You Lingers
(Zshare)

DJ Shadow- Lonely Soul
(Zshare)

My Bloody Valentine- Lose My Breath (Zshare)

Also I just have to say that I never thought to go beyond the Lost In Translation soundtrack with my dormant My Bloody Valentine curiosity. I'm not sure what exactly incited a sudden interest but after spontaneously deciding to acquire an album I became extremely taken with the band. It took a while to grown on me (when I first heard them I thought my stereo was broken).

Yes, the music is ghostly/haunting/ethereal but my favourite aspect is the use of instrumentation.
Its rare that a band places the instruments as the central character in place of the vocals, which are relatively soft and essentially used to merely compliment.

I listen to My Bloody Valentine and Joy Division back to back on rainy day moods. It does take awhile for that band to grow on you.
