No longer are dj's/producers performing under the guise of being robots (Daft Punk), Spider Men (Bloody Beetroots) and Ferrari driving zombies (Kavinsky), the new generation of artists are now leaning towards something a little unusual and sweet.

The Kids of Trashbags have scored an exclusive interview and tracks from the Chewy Chocolate Cookies... Enjoy!

First of all, tell us a little about you… All I could gather from your myspace was that your ‘band members’ consist of 1 1/4 cups butter or margarine, softened - 2 cups granulated sugar - 2 large eggs - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract - 2 cups all-purpose flour - 3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa - 1 teaspoon baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 2 cups chocolate chips. Are you real people or just a big fat cookie? How many people make up Chewy Chocolate cookies, where are you from and what’s with the name???

All you can find on myspace is true…CCC is not a person, not a band, not a DJ, not a producer…
CCC is just chewy chocolate cookies and that’s it…As you can read from the official biography, the story is quite simple, but remember, the most important thing is…DO NOT OVERBAKE !!!
About the name, it’s quite simple as well….there’s only one way of calling something made with butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cocoa….CHEWY CHOCOLATE COOKIES !!!

CCC’s official biography,
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt;
gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 9 minutes.
DO NOT over bake! Cookies will be soft. Cool slightly on cookie sheet;
transfer from sheet onto wire rack to cool completely.

I see you’re doing a remix of Toxic Avenger’s “Superheroes”. What producers are you working with at the moment and what other projects do you have set for the future?

First of all,
1st CCC Ep , “Pepitès” out in January 2008 on the best French label in the world, Ekler’o’shock…
Including: Time, Profondo Rosso, Cheeseburgers, Profondo Rosso Mixhell Rmx and Cheeseburgers Xerak Rmx

Then…respect for The Toxic Avenger, great music & great guy : )
and don’t forget that “Superheroes” CCC Rmx, is available for free download on CCC’s myspace…

Future?!?!
- Just finished an official rmx for the best Portuguese band in the world, Loto
- officially remixing stuff for sweet labels as Kitsunè and Ekler’o’shock,
- unofficially remixing a lot of tracks (stay tuned and check CCC’s myspace for free download)
- producing tracks for the first CCC’s album...
So the future is quite busy.

Talking about gigs, CCC is trying to set up a tour, just to share some sweet music with crazy kidz, hoping to include Australia as well : )

You’ve been remixing some big songs like Justice’s “Genesis” and “The Party”, as well as Chromeo’s “Bonafied Lovin.” What makes a track attractive to you to remix?

Mmmmm….It’s like when you go in a restaurant and you order the house’s speciality…you taste it, and then you start thinking “…it’s good but it could be better…I can use this, that…but I don’t like this…”
Then you go home and you cook the same dish but in your own way….
it’s exactly the same with remixing….
If you are a dj/producer, you can easily understand…when CCC is listening to a track, an automatic procedure starts…starts to be focused on sounds, loops, breaks…and suddenly the magic happens….and CCC starts thinking ”…it’s good but it could be better…this part would be better like this, like that…I can take this part and reverse it, move it, loop it…” and that’s it…after few hours your rmx is ready… straight from the oven to the dancefloor

Two of your tracks are now on beatport.com for people to buy online; your other tracks are available for download on your myspace. What’s your take on the changes in the music industry regarding the internet?

Internet and myspace are the best inventions of the world, after the microwave of course, they give to a lot of young kidz the opportunity to show to the world their own skills…no more demo cd to be sent to labels, no more waiting ages for a stupid reply, you don’t need to be brother, cousin, friend or whatever to make it in the music business, if your music is good the world will know that…and that’s simply amazing…so guys, make music, make remixes, and post everything on blogs, myspace, everywhere, let the world judge your stuff…if it’s good, extremely good, you could be the next CHEWY CHOCOLATE COOKIES : )

What’s the scene like over where you’re playing? Have you heard anything about the scene here in Australia?

CCC is based in London and here the scene is big, but CCC likes to spend a lot of time in Paris, and over there the scene is huge…Australia?!?! Some CCC’s friends played there and they say you guys are crazy…and it’s good, very good.. .can’t wait to play over there !!!

What’s the weirdest experience you’ve ever had during a gig?

After a 3 hours set of distorted basslines, crashes & cuts, a silly guy asked “…could you play some minimal stuff!?!?! Trentemoller?!??!...”….just to be nice & sweet and to show him that CCC cares about kidz…silence for 10 seconds and Boys Noize “& Down” : )
